A FREE Packing List For You - Inside

Hello friend!

I just returned from a writing retreat in Scotland... ✨ It was unlike any trip I've ever taken, and I can't wait to share more about that adventure with you in the near future, but for today, I have a little gift for you.

Yesterday a new episode of the podcast came out featuring my friend Vince Mazzuca over at Osprey Packs, and we talked about all things packing, travel, and the importance of getting outside and disconnecting. (Listen to it here or watch it on YouTube).

In the episode, I mention an adventure packing list that I created (and personally use, all the time), and I want to share it with YOU!

Packing for adventure travel is very specific, because you need to make sure you have the right layers for the right weather for the right activities, etc. Collecting the right gear can be daunting, which is why I've tried to make it easy for you. This is the same packing list I provide to all of my JUMP Adventures participants, and it can be adapted to fit any type of adventure. In it I share tips about luggage choice, clothing, and gear, including bullet point lists, and even links to some products I specifically recommend (with inspiring photos from a recent trip!).

Check it out and bookmark it so you can use it for your next adventure!

I hope you find it helpful, and I hope you can use it very soon!

Alex Honnold and Jim Morrison on JUMP with Traveling Jackie podcast

Yes - you read that right - Alex Honnold & Jim Morrison are my guests on the podcast this week. (First - can I get a cheers to that?!) 🤩 Alex Honnold is the professional rock climber we know from his unprecedented free solo (without ropes) ascents of El Capitan in Yosemite (as shown in the Netflix documentary Free Solo) and of the Taipei 101 skyscraper (which was covered live on Netflix). Jim Morrison is the first person to ever ski down the north face of Mount Everest through the Hornbein...

I just returned from a girls' trip to Georgia (the country!), and you can hear all about it now on the podcast. Why Georgia?! Scroll down... Fun fact: In that last photo, our wine tasting table (carved from a tree) is older than the USA. 😳 Georgia is ancient... Why Georgia? I invite my friend (and returning podcast guest!) Ginger Cooper to help answer that question by sharing two very different adventures through this mountainous, wonderfully under-the-radar country. Ginger recounts a...

I have spent the last 24 years living in and traveling to more than 60 countries. I love slow travel, spending time immersing myself deeply into places, and I love going back to places that feel like home to me (i.e. I have been to Chile more than 10 times in 10 years). Someone recently asked me, “What is your dream adventure?”… as in, where do I really want to go, anywhere in the world?… After considering this for about a minute, I knew my answer, and it didn’t surprise me: “I want to drive...
